North East Pharma has been established as a business-led organisation to provide a strong collective voice and point of co-ordination for North East pharmaceuticals and medicines manufacturers.
We aim to strengthen already productive relationships and partnerships within the sector and strengthen collaboration with partners across the region and beyond.
There are 15 pharmaceutical manufacturers in the North East of England sector including a diverse range of scale, business models, ownership arrangements and relationship structures with the regional and UK economy.

Product Export
Pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in the sector export an average of 86% of their products with 64% of exports going to the United States.
North East Pharma will enable new projects and programmes to be taken forward in support of this aim and serve as a vehicle to receive funding to facilitate the delivery of the vision.
